Growth of an endowment fund (1)

A financial endowment is a donation of money or property to a not-for-profit organization for the ongoing support of that organization. In an endowment fund, the principal amount is kept intact in an investment account while the investment income is available for use. Today the Foundation has two separate endowment funds: a general Endowment Fund and the Amelia Earhart Endowment Fund.

The Zonta International Foundation is seeking partners and donors who believe in the importance of ensuring that Zonta International will have a solid base of resources going forward. This campaign will set the course to:

  • Support enlarging the Endowment Fund to generate increased earnings to pay for projects and initiatives as established by the Zonta International Board and approved by the voting members of the Convention body
  • Provide the highest quality programs that will honor Zonta’s mission
  • Assure the continued advancement toward the empowerment of women worldwide.

It is our honor to recognize the partners and donors who commit generous gifts to the Zonta International Foundation Centennial Anniversary Endowment Campaign. Click here to view lists of our supporters.

All campaign contributors will be featured in the Zonta International Foundation annual reports for each year that they make a contribution over the course of the campaign. If donors seek confidentiality, it will be respected.

The Zonta International Foundation Centennial Anniversary Endowment Campaign Committee invites all Zonta members and friends to join us as we work together to reach a future where women’s rights are fully recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential.
